Put It On is a graphic score originally designed for strings, percussion and electronics, most recently adapted for the Skadi string quartet. Recording coming soon.

Flora: (2010) Graphic Score. Oil, charcoal on canvas, 30x24.

Flora was created for a small group of musicians to be interpreted freely, with color and imagery as the main impetus in sound creation. The score is to be read in a linear fashion, from bottom to top or top to bottom, left to right or right to left.

Mirror Scratched: (2011) Graphic score. Oil on canvas, 30x40.

Mirror Scratched was created for an ensemble consisting of bowed and struck metallophones and percussion, (including the Lou Harrison harmonic series instruments) strings and voice. This recording features the Anagamin Ensemble: Christina Stanley violin and voice, Luigi Marino, Anna Wray and Daniel Steffey percussion. Seven sound categories are represented in the score. Changes in color gradients correspond with timbre variation and sound intensity. Musicians navigate through the score with the help of detailed instruction in their own time, always aware of the location of the other players.
